Location and arrival
Turopoljska race takes place in the center of Velika Gorica in front of Pučko otvoreno učilište Velika Gorica (POUVG), as indicated on picture below. If you are coming by bus from Zagreb, take ZET lines 268 (operating every 15 minutes) or 290 (operating every 35 minutes) and exit at the station “Zagrebačka 42”, located just 100 meters away from POUVG. If you are arriving by car we recommend using the parking at the city stadium (Hrvatske Bratske Zajednice 80, Velika Gorica) and then walk ten minutes to POUVG. The other option is to park next to POUVG itself (behind the park Dr. Franjo Tuđman) – this parking is free on Sundays, but it is more difficult to find a parking place.
The organizer also provides locker rooms, showers and guarded wardrobe, which are located in the sports hall of Primary school Eugen Kumičić. The entrance to the hall is from the side of the school (see picture below).
Accomodation
If you are planning to spend a night in Velika Gorica the day before the Race or want to investigate the beautiful Turopolje region, we recommend visiting web pages of Tourist Office of Velika Gorica where you can find a list of tourist sites and a list of accommodation capacities at very affordable prices.
